August 2023 produced more epic waves with consistent swells and guests weren’t disappointed at at surfing Tland reef at Nemberala, Sako Namor, Ndana Island and even conditions at Boa were favorable some days. The ever most popular sail trips to Ndana exclusive to Lualemba Bungalow guests with a few waves, a wander around the beautiful landscape coast and enjoyable snorkel inside the lagoon with a sail back to Nemberala. Lualemba Bungalows are looking great with constant maintenance and improvements. The Gardens and insane green grass surrounding the bungalows is like nothing else in Rote providing shade and eliminating dust from the trade winds that often stronger than other months of the year.

Rote Island during the dry season has quite strong trade wind conditions and places around Nemberala beach have trouble growing plants on the sand. Dust whirlwinds are a common sight and are impossible to avoid except if you stay at Lualemba Bungalows.

Yes we do grow a few vegetables and consumable plants at Lualemba Bungalows. Jenet likes to start plants during the dry season ready to plant in the wet season.

To live in a healthy environment of eatable plants and fruits with trees that attract the birds and the bees. This is where Lualemba beats hands down a hot Nemberala sandy beach desert.

At sunrise the little birds sing and the small green frogs hang around near wet areas. These are signs of a perfect environmentally friendly place with an organic earthy atmosphere.
Natural pool wonderfully freshing
Taking a plunge into a chemical or salt free pool is so refreshing. Each day the water is dispersed around the gardens from the pool and refilled from the well on the property. The pool water has its own ecosystem plus an ionizer and infrared light system to keep the water crystal clear for weeks or even months at a time.
Read a book or listen to your tunes
There are plenty of places to hang out around the pool area to take in a book or chill out under a tree listening to some of your tunes.

4000 m2 of tropical paradise
Rote Island has around 4 months of rain during a wet season with dry trade winds for pretty much 6 months of the year. There is no denying Rote island is a harsh environment so to create a tropical green oasis like Lualemba Bungalows has been a rewarding challenge and awesome to share amongst friends and guests.
